Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Sounds like driver flex, which is harmless and quite probable owing to the lightness of the driver diaphragm.- IMAWolf

Interview with Noel Lee, "Head Monster" of Monster Products - Head-Fi TV
Well personally i'm feeling quite positive about Monster right now. If the diamond tears are anything to go by they certainly took the SQ up a notch after their split with beats. Regardless of business ethics or marketing methods, as an audiophile, i am excited to see what Monster can come up...- IMAWolf

T5P v. ESW10JPN
It'll help if you told us what genres you prefer, amp or not, and whether isolation+comfort is important. These two headphones are really quite different.- IMAWolf

DELETED!
Most folks generally relate price to sound quality. While there are some exceptional "bang for buck" cases in the audio world, i find it to be quite true. I feel that much of the sound quality we hear is influenced by expectation bias, hype, and overly enthusiastic reviews. Evident in how every...- IMAWolf

Is the Shure SRH940 right for me? Any Kalafina fans?
Not annoying at all, i'm glad i could help. The HE400s are actually quite engaging and i find them lovely for Kalafina's music, the lack of treble is only apparent upon testing against other headphones. Actually, it feels kind of like a shrunken down W3000ANV, very engaging but loses out...- IMAWolf

Is the Shure SRH940 right for me? Any Kalafina fans?
From my testing at Stereo Singapore i find that the AD900s are a very good match for their more upbeat songs like Magia and Red Moon,in fact, i preferred it to the AD2000s in some respects, like comfort. Something slightly thicker will be the HD600s with the foam mod.... And i do realize that...- IMAWolf

Is the Shure SRH940 right for me? Any Kalafina fans?
The female in 6 is Aramary. The W3000ANVs don't really sound like closed backs to me, TBH. When i read through your impressions the only headphones that i can think of are the AD2000s, however, i don't have any experience with those. As usual, it would be best if you were able to find a place...- IMAWolf
