I ask because my Realtek onboard audio can downmix (by selecting 5.1 setup in settings, and then turning off the center and rear speakers in that setup). My Fiio E10 can't downmix as far as I know.

Okay, there's a new problem now. I can't hear any sound when watching a video on the internet. Listening to music with the E10 works fine but how can I set the internet to output sound through the E10 as well? It only works when I disconnect the E10.

I also tried my RE0s and Philips 3850s and neither worked with the E10. 

Yeah it installed the driver and there was a popup and everything.

I got it in an unsealed aluminum container with no usb cable (not sure if I was even supposed to get one, but I have an aftermarket one so it didn't matter much) and I also didn't get the rubber feet pads. Didn't think much of it but when I plugged it into my PC and my HD558s into the E10, no...

If I do decide to use a DAC, would the E7 work as an inexpensive option for my HD558s?

Yeah I've heard about DACs and amps but they're too expensive of an option for me now.    For me, right now, the priority is just to be able to connect my headphones to my desktop PC and hear sound through them. I was thinking of this: ...

Do those USB audio jacks cause a decrease in sound quality? Does it matter which one I buy, or should I just get the cheapest one?
