I'm not exactly sure why you're trying to compare a $350 OTL amp to a $1200 OTC amp...? They're completely different beasts in price *and* function.

I agree wholeheartedly. In my experience members of this forum completely eschew current production, and as decent NOS sources dry up and prices rise...what then? Offerings from Shuguang and Sophia are a step in the right direction, and they're great tubes, to boot!

I'm aware. IIRC the adapters were able to mitigate that issue, but I haven't found the post yet so I'm going off the top of my head.

Thanks for the notice about longevity. Why did you replace your Sophia with EML? I take it you enjoy the EML more since you recommended it at the bottom. Have you tried the offerings from Shuguang or Psvane? What do you think of them?
