DH1200 is junk comparing to DJ1200, DH is absolutely un-listenable after listening to DJs. Boomy, no highs, and what even more frustrating - can not be adjusted by any amp or equalization, oh yeah.. tons of volume, but otherwise just plain garbage.

Ok, I think there are two choices for me now: Sen HD 25 (not SP) or Beyer DT 250-80 as they seam to be well bass driven and priced around the same, which one produces clearer sound over all.

There are Shure E5 on eBay, I guess they would be good pair to get for 300 green ones. Anyone had the pleasure to listen to them? Oh, boy, I am so confused now

What about Beyer 250-80, are they better than 280Pro in bass part?

I would not be worried about the ear damage, caz I listen at 1/4 of the volume player can produce (yeah, those DJ are that good in insulation department, I can listen to them with open window on 1/3 very comfortably), that's why I am so on a mission. There is a loss of a bass as you mentioned...

Forgot to mention, I use Walkman CD players and laptop for sourse (DVDs, DivX and music), no amp, I like to stay "light". Have to be easily driven and that's a main thing.
