    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Six and a half years of regular use, three sets of earpads, two cables, and more than a few clumsy drops later my Fidelios are still going strong. I'm amazed at the build quality of these things. No annoying squeaks or creaks either. :smile_phones:

Is there anything that sounds similar to the AKG K361s but has better noise isolation?

I have a pair of K361s which I love (only headphones I've had that have made me shed tears of joy) but in an ideal world they'd have better sound isolation. I tried the AKG K271s Mk IIs but they sounded dull and lifeless in comparison, plus they were very creaky and cheap feeling. Also tried...

Recabling Audio Technica ATH-AD700s - which wires go where?

    Recommendations for replacing AD700s

Thanks for the suggestions!   I have an Asus Xonar DGX soundcard, which I think would be enough to drive the K702s.   Wouldn't the HD598 be more of a 'sidegrade' rather than an upgrade, especially considering they're the same price as the K702s (£150)? I don't listen to as much hip hop as I...

    Recommendations for replacing AD700s

Hi all, I'm looking to replace my ATH-AD700s and and I'd like your recommendations. Here's what I'm looking for:   - open back, circumaural - wide sound stage - neutral sound, maybe something with bass that's less weedy than in the AD700s - good for gaming and movies as well as music (I...
