Official Sony WF-1000XM3 Thread - Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones
I just got a pair today and they sound pretty good. Are the wax guards on these replaceable? I’ve owned a number of iems and they’ve all need to be replaced at some point. I searched and didn’t find anything except comply tips with built in guards- fyleow

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
Got my pair last week and have to agree with the others that the bass is way too boomy. On an iPhone EQ'd down to -5 on Clear Bass makes it much better and I wish these settings were stored directly on the headphones because having to EQ every device its connected to is pretty annoying. I'm...- fyleow

[FiiO μBTR ] Bluetooth receiver,Qualcomm CSR8645 Bluetooth chip, independent local volume control,9 hour battery life(Refurbished μBTR Promo on FiiO AliExpress Official Store now)
I have mine paired to both my MBP and iPhone, and it will switch to whichever device is playing audio. I tested it briefly with a Youtube video playing on my MBP and the stock Music app on my iPhone. I don't use it day to day so I don't know how well it works or what happens when system sounds...- fyleow

Didn't realize there's a dedicated uBTR thread. Cross posting it here. I bought a uBTR from Amazon and received it today. Paired with an iPhone 8 I can confirm it does connect via AAC. Starting a2dp send thread, handle 1, frameLen 743, framecount 1, codec 2, bt clk RF is fine, I can put my...- fyleow

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
Have the prices of the HD 700s increased? I was going through this thread and saw people mention getting it for <$700 brand new from Amazon. Everywhere I look shows it at $850 now. I've noticed the same thing with the Beyerdynamic T90; in the appreciation thread it was posted at much lower...- fyleow

Inexpensive replacement HD 600 cables?
I'm currently using a cable I made myself for my HD 600. I used Mogami 2534 Neglex Quad Microphone Cables and a Neutrik 1/4th connector. Unfortunately after about 2 years the soldering on the right headphone connector is giving way and the audio cuts a little. I would repair it but the Cardas...- fyleow

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Are these the right replacement pads for the 650s? I need to replace mine as they are getting pretty squished. http://store.sennheiserusa.com/store/sennheis/en_US/pd/productID.249254800 When I removed the earpads I noticed where were dust on the speaker diaphragm. Does anyone know...- fyleow

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Quote: Thanks for your thoughts Joker. I've done a bit more reading on the ones you've mentioned, but I get the feeling that unless I spring for something like the RE272 I'm going to get a different but not necessarily better overall sound. Maybe I should give the q-jays a try with some...- fyleow

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Thanks a lot for posting this really comprehensive guide. I am shopping for a new pair of IEMs and I'm looking for some guidance. I currently own a pair of Jays q-Jays which have been fine but I'm having problems with the filters not lasting very long and requiring a lot of maintenance. I think...- fyleow

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
I'm looking for a good pair of closed headphones for work. Comfort and noise isolation is a top priority for me. The Sennheiser HD 280s used to be the go to headphones but it seems like there are better ones out there now. I looked at the Audio Technica ATH M-50 but saw some reviews mentioning...- fyleow

Jays Q-Jays filters in the United States?
I need some headphones for work and have been thinking of purchasing a nice closed one but I remembered I still have a pair of unused Q-Jays lying around. I need to purchase some replacement filters for them but I can't find any retailers in the US that sells them. Does anyone know of one? I...- fyleow

Need help with fixing Sennheiser 600 DIY cable
BTW, what are some creative ways with the heat shrink? I've read recommendations to use adhesive heat shrink for a good strain relief but I can't imagine that being easy to remove.- fyleow
