With this setup going into my desktop computer: Do I need to get a 3.5mm output for the male-to-male, nothing at all or something different?   Also, for maximum sound quality should the amp I use with this have an optical output for my desktop? (meaning get a different Amp all together?)

it would be a direct plug into the back of the motherboard, no soundcard inbetween... would you still recommend the AKG K612 Pro? I read a lot of stuff about sound leaking out of these and they use a battery?
