I am selling here my Abyss Diana Phi, since I mostly listen to speakers nowadays. It has one caveat: The headband adjustment slider runs a bit rough and is not as smooth as new. It was like that since I bought them (used), but it never bothered me, since I did only set it once and then left it...- Fink24

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Absolutely, the HE-6 is one of the best headphones for metal, but I am not sure if it is the right one for you, since the HE-6 is on the colder side of neutral and the ones you mentioned are warm sounding headphones. But if you get a chance to listen to them (on a really powerful amp)...- Fink24

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I have not listened to the Atticus, but after owning the Odin, I cannot recommend it for Metal at all. The highs are way to silent, on some songs you could barely hear the cymbals. Without the Lawton Pads, the Odin also lacks too much subbass, which is quite unusual for planar magnetic...- Fink24

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Yeah, the Atticus crossed my mind too. The thing is just, that a used DT1770 costs only half of a new TH610 (they rarely come up used) and about a third of a used Atticus. Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Looking currently for a new (or used :P ) closed headphone at around 500€ - 750€. I listen mostly to black, death, folk and heavy metal (in descending order), but also to (neo)folk. Since it will be for work, it needs to have long term comfort. I currently have an AKG K872 and it seals so...- Fink24

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Wow, this sounds just amazing: Astell&Kern AK320 -> Schiit Yggdrasil -> iFi iCAN Pro -> Hifiman HE-6 Shipping took a while for the Yggy, but it was definitely worth it. The HE-6 was really held back by my old DAC (Modi Multibit; it's not a bad DAC at all and it offers great price/performance...- Fink24

I didn't think you tried to cause trouble, but I know firsthand, that the mere mentioning of you-know-who isn't welcomed. Anyway I think they might be on to something, since while I didn't hear this DAC, I share their opinion on the NFB-1, which I listened to on 2 occasions before reading about...- Fink24
