Shure SRH840 vs Audio Technica ATH M50
Well, if the bass is not lacking I think I would like the SRH840 better. Also better soundstage is great for gaming. I suppose that the Shures are better in a wider range of genres, not just few genres (rap, EDM for example) like the m50s. Thanks for the help!- ExtremeHotDog

Shure SRH840 vs Audio Technica ATH M50
Hey I am looking for a new headphone for $75-$90 (pre owned), I cannot choose between these two. The m50s are fun and fast but they aren't very accurate. The 840s are really accurate, with great soundstage but I heard they where too slow. My musical taste is really varied, my main genres are...- ExtremeHotDog

Fake Beats
Don't buy them. They sound really bad(I had one of those). There are many great headphones for under 100 Us dollars and they even sound a lot better than the beats. If you buy some entry level headphones on amazon you can spend a little bit more bringing them to Venezuela. I know that it is very...- ExtremeHotDog

What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?
The dt880s. Before I got here I had the Beats Tour lol. Actually I came here because of the beats because I wanted to know how a good headphone sounds after listening to them.- ExtremeHotDog

Looking for an Amp/Dac Combo for the dt880
Quote: Well, I usually listen to music in my cell phone (xperia z) and my PCs (y410p and a desktop with Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD). I am not sure if i like warm or a colder sound, because for electronic music I prefer warmer, but I prefer colder for metal, so neutral sound...- ExtremeHotDog

Looking for an Amp/Dac Combo for the dt880
Hey! I just bought the Beyerdynamic dt880, the 250ohm version. I have noticed that amping is helpful in this headphone, but I also need a Dac. I dont need it to be extremely portable, the JDS Labs Objective 2 size is ok. I have been looking at the Fiio e17, the Nuforce Icon, Hi-Fi Man EF2A...- ExtremeHotDog

Best Headphone For Me
Hey, I want to buy some new headphones for my personal use. I live in Costa Rica but I usually buy in Amazon.com. The genres I listen to are mostly metal music (It will be great that it will make the low-fi black metal sound better). I listen to every genre in metal but mostly extreme metal...- ExtremeHotDog
