I am lookin forward to buy the L cushions too. Makes them a lil comfortable.

  I had a pair of Sony XB700 and i wanted a an open ear headphone. After a lot of research it came down to 3 choices -   Grado Sr60i AD700 Senn HD239   I had had a lot of bass thanks to XB700 (and they are great btw) and it wasnt a priority. So i thought over and i wanted a clean output...

What about HD518? They are much cheaper and people say they have the same sound signature as 558/598 due to the same drivers used.

Well i heard 518 sounds the same (especially with a an amp say E7) as 598/558..Its just the construction and design which differentiates them..the sound signature is almost identical..so why waste the cash..just buy the 518 and get a good amp (<100,e7) and enjoy!

Great buy man..Anything in lower price range? That sounds similar..at least to the Senn 598?

What about SENN HD598 and Beyer 990 pro? Also any cheaper options which sound about the same as these two?

Sony XZ does support my Fiio E7 DAC..Just get an otg cable..connect it to ur XZ and the usb side to the USB cable of the amp which goes into the amp..in my case E7..Thats it..ENJOY! :)

may i know how to remove that limit?? Because i've asked everyone at xda too and all of them had the same thing to say..good sound quality but very low volume levels. [without any dac..direct 3.5mm]

The phone is very quiet though..the sound levels are very low in headphones..there is a ACID MOD in xda devs that seems to increase volume levels..can someone confirm that?

Guys looking at open ear cans with nice soundstage and good bass. I have the XB700 so dont need bass too much..Need clean sound and like some say "Feel of being there in a recording studio or concert" :)   Looking at Senn HD518 , Senn 598, Beyer 990pro

lol ok thanks then ill just leave em now...someday i will cross 50hr mark.. :P   ok idont know why they are playing very well and loud on my ipod NANO and not that loud on my bro's iphone 3G! lol what new things may come..
