My newly installed armchair headphone setup..

Hello...I primarily listen to my 2-ch system but recently dived into the high end (at least what I consider high end) headphone world.  I have a music server that I control via an iPad with a remote app (Naim eqpt) so I wanted to build a headphone listening system around the iPad and my...

Need advice regarding a good portable that will play FLAC files..

Hi...I just purchased a new Cary HH-1 and am looking for a portable player that has the ability to connect to the Cary via RCAs and NOT from a mini plug headphone output.  Your thoughts would be much appreciated....thanks in advance.

    LIttle Dot MkIII question..

Hi..   I haven't posted here in years but have a question.  I own a Perreaux SH-1 amp and it has very low hours on it.  I am toying with the idea of buying the Little Dot MkIII.  Question 1: will I hear a marked improvement over what I own now and Question 2: are the Little Dott MkIIIs...

    best albums you've never heard..

I would like to hear from everyone who knows of an album or albums they have stumbled upon over the years that never made it mainstream. There are some rare finds out there. My two contributions would be: "Meet Danny Wilson" by Meet Danny Wilson, circa 1987, a Scottish band who made this one...

    Audio switch box..

I have spent some time with this el-cheapo switchbox, the CVS970, and thought I would post my impressions. First of all the little box at $17 USD is built remarkably well. The 4 sets of RCA's in the back (3 in, 1 out) are gold plated. The rotary switch seems substantial plus the small metal box...

    Audio switch box..

I found a very nice 3 input audio switch box at: http://www.rpelectronics.com/ The item number is CVS970. I got it yesterday and haven't hooked it up yet but the build quality is very good considering it cost less than $17. It has gold plated RCAs and the selector switch seems...

    Audio switch box..

Is there a high quality switch box out there capable of routing 3 stereo line level inputs (RCA) to an amplifier? Something with Cardas RCA connectors maybe, a high quality rotary switch all connected with Litz wire in a cool little metal box would be great. Comments please. thx.

    DB Systems, DB9 headphone amp

Hi Tom and thanks for the reply. Yes I am having some fun with the new phones. I have never been much of a headphone guy in the past, preferring my 2 channel "speakered" system for critical listening but I'm finding it more and more difficult to find opportunities to sit in front of my "good"...

    DB Systems, DB9 headphone amp

The DB9 amp from DB Systems sounds surprisingly close to the Perreaux but the build quality is more than a little distracting. It is a real lightweight, performance aside, with it's hard-wired wall wart and it's cheesy "enclosure". I must tip my hat to Dave Hadaway for the performance of this...

    DB Systems, DB9 headphone amp

I don't see this amp mentioned anywhere here on this forum and was wondering if anyone here has experience with it. It's an inexpensive (approx. $250) amp with a wallwart PS that's upgradable to a larger regulated one. I'm sure it's opamp based but I don't really know anything about it. I do...
