    To note on the sound leakage thing. Though these might have the same perceived volume, they will no where near the spl that a sub would need to produce in a room at 20hz to match these. So for an apartment, they would still be more practical.

    I really hated their stock sound. Do the pads merely make it decent, or do you think they now are class leading? What other headphones can you compare them against?

    Unfortunately, no. That anker cable is the only adapter to my knowledge that transfers audio. Previous to that adapter coming out, it was impossible to use the cipher cable with any non lightning supported device, as no other adapter or cable converted to lightning supported audio, only storage.

    It's not just the bass that's a problem. The stock cable has a massive elevation between 1and 2k and a massive recession between 4 and 5k. This make things sound really hollow and shouty.
