Should I be using +4dbu input sensitivity on my jbl lsr 305 monitors with balanced inputs from the emu 0404?

So I recently set up a pair of swan m10s and everything is fine and dandy but the stereo channels are reversed. I was just wondering if this is a common problem or did I just get unlucky? It struck me as kind of odd that the rca cables were coloured red and yellow though.

Hey, apologize for being a complete dolt when it comes to things like this, and I hope this is the most appropriate forum.   I purchased a set of swan m-10s just to use with my desktop, but the rca connections to the sub are far too short so I'm wondering about how I would go extending them...

I haven't posted here lately but I thought I would update for those with any interest. The 0404 was under warranty so after dealing with support I was able to exchange it for a new one. It was about a 3 week turnaround but my warranty was extended by that same amount of time.
