[REVIEW] Logitech UE9000 - Ultimate Ears HEADPHONES Released! The UE4000, UE6000 and the UE9000 - Impressions Thread
i picked up a pair of ue6000's today, plugged them into my denon 1613 and got nothing. having read that the cable can be hard to insert, i pulled it out and jammed it back in, whereupon i got some static filled noise. i reversed the cable and same thing. after fooling around with the volume...- dull

i'm looking for new headphones. i've had hearing issues and tinitus since i was very young and wear hearing aids to compensate. i use phones 3 or 4 hours a day at home primarily for movies, and concerts on paladia- mostly rock and pop. i curently use these phones plugged into a denon 1613...- dull

how good do they need to be?
i'm plugging into the headphone jack of a panasonic sa-bx500, connected to hd directtv receiver w/hdmi. i listen to all kinds of mainstream music and i prefer open cans. most often i listen to the ms1's and i'm thinking about upgrading to senn hd555's which are open but i'm also considering...- dull

how good do they need to be?
i watch paladia and sometimes vh-1 every morning and i'm wondering how good my headphones really need to be. i alternate between my ms1i and ha-rx700's running through my home amp. i'm just wondering if a headphone up-grade is warranted by the source?- dull

Comparison: AD700, M50, MS1, and DT 770 Pro 80 ohm, HD 555
great post. i'm wondering how senn's hd555 would do in your comparison. i had ad700 and lack of bass and overall loudness led me to trade them for ms1i, which i'm in the process of modding to increase soundstage.- dull

Grado SR80 rehoused in Sony MDR-V6? Possible?
iinm the sony's are closed cans and for sure the grado's are open. unless you're looking to totally butcher the sony's i don't think i'd try it. you could, if you're handy, make a set of woodies and re-cable your grado's. there are a few threads about this on head-fi.- dull

i removed the distancers and with all 10 holes opened and jumbo pads on the bass is much less distorted, but the highs have a lot of sibilance. i'm debating which way to go next?- dull
