imho... IEM offer to much isolation... I'm a cyclist and I wouldn't use IEM's ESPECIALLY on the street... but even when I hit the trail i might consider some over the ear hook type ear buds... I had some phillips ear phones that where on the ear with a clip to em that I liked also... open so I...

sorry no help in recomendation... but I spent a bit of time in Costa rica and I know the taxes are insane...   if you have a connection outside of the country you can probably find a much better deal... just something to look into

i'm no expert by any stretch... but I wanted a decent set of IEM for portable use and and sound isolation when I didn't want to drag along my big semi-open akg k240s...    I picked up a set of Sennheiser cx150... $17 or so shipped from newegg... I know you can find them other places for...

I recently  bought some AKG k240's and love the way they sound... and from a short demo time found them very comfortable as they didn't pinch my head like so many others did.   a week or so later I still love the way they sound... but i'm noticing after having them on for an hr or more that...
