Overwhelmed with options starting out :( Need help

Thanks all, I just plan to eventually upgrade to a nice pair of headphones, but indeed in the far future. I'm picking up a used d6 instead of a bithead but thanks for all the help and input. I think it's a prime place to start out, no longer feeling overwhelmed :)   Dmyster

    Classical CDs and Recordings

Hey all, questions, I always have some haha. I've always been a casual classical listener but recently I've really started to love it. I've been looking for some cds to purchase but have learned that recording/mastering qualities vary quite a bit and have no knowledge whatsoever concerning what...

Overwhelmed with options starting out :( Need help

Hey all, I'm in a little bit of a pickle. I joined head-fi a little while ago and am an avid reader. I've got a pair of Ultrasone 900s and Westone 4's. I listen mostly classical, with some dubstep/electronic thrown in played from my ipod/macbook pro (whose noise is beginning to drive me batty)...

    Westone 4R: Westone 4 + Removable cable

I found this description of the 4R on Engadget link   It just says that the 4R will be $50 more expensive, come with removable cable, and have "achieve an extremely tight tolerance of +/- 2dB between earpieces".

    Dubstep Audiophiles

Quote: I don't mean directly, just as a whole. Converting was a poor choice of wording, perhaps upgrading? Essentially re-ripping/*acquiring*. My problem is I cannot find a lot of dubstep, and what I do find is generally of poor quality. Usually...mp3 *gasp* /ohthehorror! and not even...

    Dubstep Audiophiles

I'd say a little of both. I'm knowledgeable about lossless, and have converted what I can to lossless. I was hoping to find more sources for good quality dubstep. Where do you get yours?

    Dubstep Audiophiles

I need some help. I listen to a decent amount of dubstep, but my 900 pros are proving quite revealing of the music I have. Where do you get your dubstep?   Also, feel free to recommend some artists :) I'm a huge fan of 12th Planet, Fytch, Figure, and Sub Focus  Who do you guys like?
