When I put the card in to slot 2 I get the message "No partition found for rockbox". Did you get this message and if so what was the fix?

My x3 has suffered hardware failure, i.e. the guide rail/spring has popped out of slot 1. I can no longer put an sd card in slot 1. Slot 2 is fine and can still take a card. I think I already know this but has anyone got rockbox working off of a card in slot 2?

Yah, to extend battery life. I've got the brightness knocked down all the way and it is workable. Are there other things/settings I can do?

The battery is not puffy, swollen, or buldging. With a full charge and under rockbox settings turning off the lcd screen for certain flashing events fast forward, and turning it down does seem to help. Is there other stuff I can do?
