My review of SE535 LTD - Not suitable for everyone/everyday use

No I think I'm done with premium IEMs. Apple's buds are perfectly fine.

Here is my review : http://www.head-fi.org/t/692656/my-review-of-se535-ltd-not-suitable-for-everyone-everyday-use   Probably the worst buying decision I made in a very long time.

My review of SE535 LTD - Not suitable for everyone/everyday use

I have had my SE535 LTD for just a little over a month now and unfortunately I am slowly realizing that they are not practical for everyday use. It seems like I have wasted a ton of money for a headphone that I shouldn't have bought. I use them mainly with my iphone 5s + spotify 320kbps.   ...

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

I think $549 is as much as I want to spend on a IEM (it's a ridiculous amount of money for me for a headphone!). I just don't see myself ever spending $1,000 for it. That's probably something that'll cost me 10x more when my wife files for divorce and I have to pay lawyer fees!:)

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

That's right, but it's a lot better than 4r (no cable), UE900 (has loads of QC issues with disconnects), klitpsch (lets not even go there). I really don't care about the quality of the cable because based on "my" low standards, it's 10x better than what I'm used to. Yes it doesnt have kevlar...

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

You are wrong. Please read this thread and pay attention to post #20:   http://www.head-fi.org/t/655461/another-shure-se535-red-limited-edition-launched-in-usa/15   Look at the frequency responses the LTD has 19.5 vs the regular 19. It is the same one as the Asia, the only difference is...

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

I know it is. I wanted to save on the extra cables. Each costs $50 a piece i think. Getting 2 for the price of 1 and the modified 535 is a good deal. I also love red as a color.

You live only once. I just ordered the 535 ltd. I will post my feedback once I receive them tomorrow. Thanks everyone for their help in this thread.

Well maybe what you heard is not true. I highly doubt the changes are cosmetic only. Also remember they now have iphone/ipod integration.

So is the westone better in terms of sound for the casual listener using spotify than shure with a strong emphasis on pop and the such?

    Westone 4R for 299USD ...

Isn't a new model coming out in like 2 weeks? I highly doubt they are coming out with W40, almost twice the price of 4r, and the only difference is housing and the controller.

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

I will sound like a complete idiot, but I have no idea what v-shape sound is. As I said, I want the best IEM I can afford for iphone/spotify/320kbps use case. Genres I listen are pop, rock, country, techno, and metallica. I don't know how else I can say this.

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

So how can you explain the sheer number of complaints about UE900's connectivity issues and not a single one from Shure?

Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition)

I don't really have "other equipment":) This is why I'm here asking this question, because from the sounds of it, the iphone/spotify/320 kbps usage may be a bit overkill? I don't want to pay $500 for a pair of headphones and deal with EQ or a separate amp. I want to plug in my headphones and...
