Hello, I came home today and notice that no sound was being emitted from my ATH-M50s when they were plugged in and the volume was on. At first I thought it may be my laptop's fault, but I got the same result from my desktop and my portable audio device. Any idea of what could have happened...

My father is in the market for headphones, he wants to use them at home and at work without disturbing other employees. He does not have an external amp or dac so they will have to sound decent out of a work computer. He will be using them with Spotify so sound quality isn't his #1 priority...

Spotify just came out in the U.S. and I wanted to know what you all think of it.

I would recommend the ATH-M50s, I have them on my head right now and they have very good isolation, and I really like their sound signature (I also listen to electronic)

I'm also listening to my M50 as I'm typing this. I would recommend these to anyone, they are honestly the best headphones I have ever head (well I haven't heard that many high-end headphones...) but I can confirm that they are a little bassy. I'm pretty sure you can EQ them though. If you want...
