Is this a good combo for Sennheiser's HD650
I meant line out using a Fiio LOD using the bottom craging port which I believe bypasses the iPod's amp/volume pot- christobit

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Dear Experts, Afficianados and Enthusiasts, I am the proud owner of a HD650 for about 3 years now - and enjoy it thoroughly (though I frequently switch to HD595 for a polar opposite immersive experience :) ). I use it mated with an iPod Classic LOD to Headroom Micro-Amp / JDS Labs O2 amps, and...- christobit

Is this a good combo for Sennheiser's HD650
Hi everyone, am a little new to this audiophile hobby, nonetheless intoxicated by it all. My current rig is iPod Classic (high bit rate mp3) / line-out to Headroom Micro Amp / HD650. I have been thinking of biting the Tube amp bullet, and am exploring dropping the $$ on a Schiit Valhalla. My...- christobit

HD650 amplifier suggestions.
I have the 650's for over a year. I guess anyone who plops the cash down for one of these loves the sound signature. Right? In my opinion a neutral is always best. However, there are tons of rave reviews for the pairing with bottlehead crack. If you like DIY kits ad have the cah - don't...- christobit

Need to upgrade my amp for Sennheiser HD 650
Thanks for the ideas everyone. I looked up the bottlehead crack and found its a DIY item, and I am so NOT a DIY guy lol. Any other suggestions for an awesome sounding/matching amp less than $500?- christobit

Need to upgrade my amp for Sennheiser HD 650
Many thanks Iaon, Lin and Purple Angel. I have ordered a Fiio LO cable so will try that from the Ipod soon. I have stuck with the Ipod Classic cause of its 160GB storage - I have over 10,000 albums in 256 AAC/320 MP3/FLAC so I need the storage. Any thoughts on a better Digital Audio Player...- christobit

Need to upgrade my amp for Sennheiser HD 650
Current rig - iPod Classic no line out, Sennheiser HD 650 original cable, 2 amps - JDS Labs O2 & Fiio E-11. Would much appreciate expert advice on a "proper" amp to get the maximum out of my excellent cans. I am open to upgrading to Cardas cable, and also open to using an LOD to use a better...- christobit

Amping Sennheiser HD 650
Have been using the HD650/Fiio E11 combo for 6 months now. The amp has no problem at all driving the cans, even in low gain. The bass boost feature comes in handy if your in a car, since tyre hum bleeds into the low end. I also own a JDS Labs O2 amp, and I know this will offend the purists...- christobit

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Hi Joker..thank you so much for all you do for us! My current set up is DBA-02 (Mk2) paired with JDS Labs O2 or Fiio E-11, and I have settled on this after trying countless other options/pairings. I love the IEM sound its signature is perfect for me, apart from 2 things - 1) I need a hair more...- christobit

Hi Joker..could you recommend an appropriate headphone upto 300$. My prefered signature is - Slighlty leaning toward analytical, but not complete left field Great detail Tight, fast, detailed base but with natural decay Flat mid section, but of course great clarity in upper and...- christobit

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Hi Joker, have you reviewed the RE-400 yet? Went to Head direct to buy a RE-272 and found they have stopped production. They refered me to the Re-400. It is available at $99, half the price of the discounted RE-272 still available at Amazon!- christobit

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Quote: The overall bass quantity is somewhat similar but the bass is presented differently - the RE272 generally sounds slightly softer and fuller of note. Its bass is not as punchy as that of the mkII but it decays more naturally. The mkII is punchy and quick, as is the case with most...- christobit
