AKG Q701 Amp recommendation please for my setup

I have a similar question as well as I just purchased the Q701's. My stereo receiver is not nearly as nice, it's some cheap piece of crap Technics that came from Craigslist that's like 10+ years old. I use that with my PC to route sound to speakers and headphones. Should I consider getting an...

Rate the video games you're currently playing

Dark Souls 10/10. Love it. Have sunken something like 150+ hours into it, bought the DLC that just came out yesterday and am working to reach the new areas since I already started new game+. I can't think of any other game that has so captured me and made me obsess so hard as DS has. Well, maybe...

Quality open air headphones for gaming and other media

I've had bad experiences with Creative soundcards. I'd recommend getting an Asus Xonar DX or a D1. Both are the same card, just that the DX uses PCI Express and the D1 is PCI only. Looks like both are about $83 new on amazon...

Talk me into (or out of) upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S III

Generally for new phones, developer support might be high, but you'd also deal with a lot of initial bugs in ROMs, like memory leaks or random stuff that will piss you off. Honestly, in my opinion, phones have gotten so much better so fast that you probably won't see that much of a performance...

Replacing 2.1 Speakers, Upgrading from Creative T3s

I've heard good things about the Klipsh ProMedia 2.1: http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-ProMedia-Certified-Computer-Speaker/dp/B000062VUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351102243&sr=8-1&keywords=klipsch+promedia+2.1

Talk me into (or out of) upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S III

I have the Note 1. If you're willing to try custom ROMs, I would not go for the Note 2; since it's new, developer support isn't as good as for the Note 1.    Btw, don't know if you prefer to stay on contract with T-Mo or not, but if you decide to go prepaid route, you could also try out...

    Keyboard-Fi

I'm currently using an IBM Model M. Definitely love it for typing and general use, but the lack of N-key rollover makes it not great for gaming.   My roommate, though, has put together a custom micro controller type board that connects the keyboard to his PC and gives it N-key rollover...

    Is Razordog Deals authentic?

Looks like the Sennheiser HD 600's are not eligible? It's normally $399.95 and the instant rebate says any order over $399 :(    I suppose I could spring for the 650's, is it worth the extra $100?

Replacing 2.1 Speakers, Upgrading from Creative T3s

If you have a receiver of some sort, I'd recommend hooking up passive speakers to it. According to a pretty well-known speaker guy, these are really good for the money and sound even better with some minor mods: http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-B2030P-Ultra-Linear-Reference-Monitor/dp/B000N94S7O...

PA2V2 or Fiio E11 for car FM converter

Sorry for the confusion. Basically, my car now has a line out for me to connect my iPod to. When I connect it, the volume is very low and sounds pretty underpowered. I'm looking to get an app to fix this.

PA2V2 or Fiio E11 for car FM converter

I recently installed a FM converter into my car, which did not have an AUX input for playing music from other devices other than the stock CD and tape cassette. I was originally using a tape adapter, the sound quality was pretty awful... Anyway, the FM converter sounds much better paired with my...

    M50s overrated?

When I first got interested in higher quality headphones, the M50's were my first purchase. They sounded good, but it didn't sound like the second coming of Christ. I bought the DT770 250ohm and they sounded good, too, but nothing special. I even went into a local store in Manhattan to listen to...

Beginner PC speakers w/Sub under $150 and connection question

Quote: I think most receivers would.   Also, a friend of mine mentioned that if you have a receiver, you do not need a sound card and can hook the receiver up to the motherboard. I'm not entirely sure how that works since I already had a sound card at the time and just hooked it all up...

Beginner PC speakers w/Sub under $150 and connection question

I have a receiver hooked up to my computer and have a pair of Behringer B2030P's from there. I don't have a subwoofer since I live in an apartment and my neighbor probably wouldn't like it, but you could also buy a subwoofer later and hook that up to the receiver. I think the set up works pretty...
