Given your budget limitations, I'd recommend the HD600. Very good cans. With a sympathetic amp of sufficient quality, the T1 is superior, no question.

Going back to this old thread, lately I've been enjoying the GS1K very much with my Woo6. Seems like a very good match.

I absolutely adore these headphones for well-recorded rock and any music with electric instruments such as jazz fusion, etc. I've settled on using them with my β22.

I've been totally happy with the Ray Samuels Audio Raptor and some vintage tubes with my HD800. Can't imagine anything I'd want in the sound that it doesn't deliver!

Reviving this thread to say that I just got my T1's and am really liking them with Woo and Ray Samuels tube amplification. I'm also enjoying them very much with rock...so far. Haven't had the pleasure of checking them out with classical and jazz yet but that will come in time.

I've had mine less than a week and already they've become my go-to for just about any type of music. Amplification is my Beta 22 and I'm very happy! 

I got mine yesterday from a great Head-Fier and I'm very impressed. So far, I've tried jazz, rock and classical. All stellar. I'm using a 2 channel Beta 22 for amplification. It's gonna be hard to listen to other cans for a while, I think!

I like the Woo 3 with my 600 cans a lot.

After literally a couple of years deliberating, I finally got my 800's today. Haven't spent a lot of time with them yet but what I've heard so far is very good. Nice match with my RSA Raptor. Looking forward to many hours of musical enjoyment from these cans. I'm wondering why I waited so long!
