What do you look for in 'good' music?

It's a question that has always intrigued me. What qualities or attributes do you look for in something so abstract as music? Obviously different people look for different things- everyone has their own criteria, which is why there are so many genres to choose from.   I personally am...

    Are these MTPGs fake?

Thanks for that. Just checked mine and it's the same as yours

    Are these MTPGs fake?

Can you elaborate on your problem with the jack? I didn't quite follow what you said, maybe I can compare with my own.

    Are these MTPGs fake?

Mine are exactly as you say- the monster logo on the back of the headphones (inside the 'turbine') isn't central, one of them is actually at a noticeable angle. I got mine off Amazon official EU retailer (amazon eu s.a.r.l.) I have seen MTPG with your starin relief bit, I think it's new/old...

Bowers and Wilkins P5 VS AiAiAi Tma-1?

For use with an iPod Classic 160gb > JDSlabs CmoyBB amp I understand the P5 cost a little bit more, but I'm willing to pay the extra if the sound is equal/superior to the Tma-1's purely because of it's amazing build quality.  I listen to 50% rock, 25% house and 25% everything else.

    FX67 Review | A Hidden Gem

Bought a pair of these today after reading this thread a few weeks ago. Bought them for £20 and, compared to my CX300 II, these things are very good. Ridiculously comfortable, great sound. Can't ask for more from a 20 quid headphone.  Only complaint is that I cut myself attempting to pry open...

    Grado SR325i / AKG K701 / Sennheiser 650

Quote: How portable is the Headroom Micro Amp? Is is attach-to-iPod-Classic-able?  If not, I might lean more towards a Fiio E7 (or the E11 when it comes out)

    Grado SR325i / AKG K701 / Sennheiser 650

Quote:   Did you like the Grado sound? What are your musical tastes? Would you recommend any other headphone in the same price bracket as the 325 over it (keeping in mind my musical tastes)?   Thanks for the help guys :)

    Grado SR325i / AKG K701 / Sennheiser 650

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I'm sensitive to treble, although I have experience with 'sibilance' coming from a few of my IEMs (which I hated).  Would you recommend another grado above the 325i? The 598s do look tempting. Would the E7 be suitable for any Grado / Sennheiser 598...

    Best headphone + amp for £200-250 ($350-400)?

And if we're talking about headphones without an amp, what's my best bet?

    Best headphone + amp for £200-250 ($350-400)?

Thanks for the advice, I definitely think I'll invest in the FiiO's I am a little bit wary about the Beyerdynamics though, I've heard they are sterile and cold sounding. I'm not into music production, just listening. Are these, in yours (or anyone elses) opinion, the best headphones in the...

    Best headphone + amp for £200-250 ($350-400)?

New to this forum, been lurking for quite some time now, trying to research into some headphones. I'd really appreciate some help with this :)   I'm a 17 year old student, I have a job and I'm saving up for a really, really good set of cans. I'm mainly going to use them to listen to music...
