Changing the cord of a pair of headphones?

I possess a pair of ATH-M50s but I bought the straight cord instead of a curly cord and I want to figure out if there is some way to change the cord. I'm pretty incompetent as far as DIY goes (and would hesitate anyways as they were fairly expensive) and I bought these a year ago so I can't...

This exactly. I'd rather abstain from the techno-look as much as possible. I like, for example, the aesthetic for the Urbanears Plattan: minimal and simple. Wood aesthetic headphones are nice but seem to be pretty pricey.

These were the only thing I could find with that description: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0072B9VW8/ Not all that great looking, though.

    fashion headphones

I'm looking around for a modestly priced headphone that isn't the black plastic technophile-looking Sennheiser or Audio Technica aesthetic. It seems like both Wesc and Urbanears, which fit my price range, are pretty lousy quality. Any recs on some good looking headphones that are better quality...

    On-the-go full-sized headphone?

Welp, my current thought is to buy the MDR-V6s or similar style headphone (I'm still looking at my options) and just pay some money to have them shortened.

    On-the-go full-sized headphone?

I should've. Rookie mistake, eh? I thought the straight cable would be somehow better without really thinking about it.

    On-the-go full-sized headphone?

Are there perhaps any headphones I could look at with replaceable cords? Anywhere I could send a pair of headphones in to get a professional to shorten/replace the cord?

    On-the-go full-sized headphone?

Hey, Ages ago I bought the ATH-M50s but found the extremely long cord (I bought the straight-corded variant) a hindrance to taking it outside of my room. Thus it has found a place as an extremely competent studio headphone, but has left me with little else than some ill-fitting portapros and a...

Help me figure out what to buy?

Uh sure, but I'm probably the least qualified person to do so. And from how popular it seems to be I'm sure there have been others to review it before me!

Help me figure out what to buy?

Okay. I bought the M50S. I'll get to enjoy it tomorrow, probably (on a side note: Amazon Prime for college students is bloody amazing). Thanks for all the help.

Help me figure out what to buy?

Well I'm coming from a pair of JVC headphones that were rectuangular around the ears. I tend to listen to music for hours at a stretch and they were quite uncomfortable after the first hour or so. When the cord became loose and using them was no longer an option, I switched over to a pair of...

Help me figure out what to buy?

Kouzelna, I really like how they look and how you say they sound. How do they feel when worn, though?   For the sake of comparison, are there comparable sounding 80-100$ headphones that are open? I keep flip flopping back and forth between needing open and closed, but I think I've realized...

Help me figure out what to buy?

Well I've heard that some headphones have replaceable cords, so maybe that's something I should look into. I'm really paranoid about my headphone cord going bad again, which was something I wanted to avoid if purchasing at such a price.

Help me figure out what to buy?

Okay my only other concern was that last aforementioned point, about headphones "wearing out" where there seems to be a broken connection between plug and cord... Do all headphones suffer from this? Will I need to worry about that with these? Someone mentioned that you should keep headphones in...

Help me figure out what to buy?

Okay so classical music and progressive music is probably what I'll be listening to the most. I don't have many opinions on bass or other qualities of sound, I'm not an audiophile by any stretch.   Looking at the M50S, it seems to be something like I want. I just want to bump this thread...
