This looks like (half of) the ticket right here. It's $169 on this site. http://www.synthony.com/Products/audiophile.html Does anybody have a link to their home page and/or some other retailers? Thanks, Brett- brosselle

SPDIF Headphone Amp
OK, everybody play nice ;-) ...and thanks for all the info. I have a SB Live and Sony V6. What I am looking for is something that cost less than $500 to get my audio up to snuff with these headphones on my PC. I love the headphones. They stay. I need to get more (and cleaner) audio...- brosselle

SPDIF Headphone Amp
Yep, Soundblaster. Didn't think about the D/A part. Guess it wouldn't make much sense to have a D/A converter in a headphone amp. USB would be another option, but you would still need the D/A conversion. Hmmmm..... Time for a better soundcard.- brosselle

SPDIF Headphone Amp
This might be a dumb question, but here goes. I don't particularly like the headphone sound quality from my PC soundcard. Mostly the power level. Would it make sense, as a "cheap" solution, to run the SPDIF output directly to a headphone amp. Is there a headphone amp that can do this...- brosselle

Just Got My Sony V6's
Too bad I am at work. I'm just staring at the gold box while sitting in my cube. Can't wait to get home and give them a listen. Probably won't be much conversation going on at my house tonight- brosselle

DVD/MP3 With ID3 Support
Are there any home DVD/MP3 players that support ID3 tags? I haven't been able to find one. I would even settle for long filename support.- brosselle

Newbie Question
I just ordered the Sony MDR-V6 for $75. I'll give them a try for awhile. They should hold me over until I decide to pony up $300+ for something better. Who knows, maybe they will sound good enough to me that I won't feel the need to. Brett- brosselle
