The discovery thread!
The amplitude of 1-4k region on the aune doesn't reach as high (sound as intense) as the heks but is balanced in that region, having more amplitude from 1-2.5k, to have enough intensity to sound realistic.- BlankName

In terms of overall impressions of the upper midrange, it's not as forward/intense as the e3 however it's not super recessed if you think that's what I mean by the SR7000 being a bit darker and it makes up for that with having much more upper treble than the e3. HEKS vs SR7000...- BlankName

The discovery thread!
I've only ever tried closed backs as they are what fit my personal needs better however compared to the e3, which is known for having thinnish lower mids and a forward midrange, it has a less forward upper midrange without going too far. It wasn't bothersome to me as it trades that for greater...- BlankName

Received the Aune SR7000 2 days ago. Great comfort, doesn't clamp as hard as the hd620 however more comfortable than the e3, azurys, and ft1. The adjustment and swivel are very nice and once adjusted to feels great on the head. About as hard to drive as my Penon Quattro if not slightly more...- BlankName

QLS MUB5
Any new updates on the device? I'm hoping that it can get to L&P levels of sq considering that it doesn't have to fit a dap inside the device as well.- BlankName

Final DX6000 - Open-Back Dynamic Driver Headphone
The sensitivity shouldn't be a problem in the treble as it peaks around 85-75db so you'd only need about 1mw at 300ohms for the treble, high oi amps might be a problem however.- BlankName

I've just demoed a few closed backs: FT1(4.4), HD620s(3.5), Azurys(3.5), and E3(4.4) off of my cma18p at Audio46. FT1: It was nice for being the cheapest, imaging and soundstage are subpar with a small left/right stage with little distinction between layers. Detail/texture were good and the...- BlankName

Pure diamond is, in theory, the best diaphragm material, and can even surpass pure beryllium because it has a hardness of 10 mohs, vs 6 for beryllium (mohs scale non-linearly), despite being twice as dense.- BlankName
