Thank you, I appreciate the perspective. I'm going to withhold judgement on the 1A until I get 400+ hours on it, and try some software tweaks to wring every ounce of performance out of her. Listening to a high res version of Abbey Road right now... I am not displeased.- Bikeboy88

I don't have a solid technical background, so I'll defer to folks with more knowledge than myself. I can only offer my own subjective opinion. To me the Z1Rs sound superb through the PAW S1. I agree. I had been using the Lotoo PAW S1 with my old iPhone 6s, and it had way more power than I could ever ask for, and sounded superb using the 4.4mm balanced connection. Took deliver of a WM1A, and frankly I'm a little underwhelmed. The only issue is power drain. The Z1Rs are a pretty...- Bikeboy88

Correct, WM1A uses Sony's own UI. Some in the forums have suggested that Sony's NW-ZX507 (Android-based) works well, and it has a 4.4mm balanced connection. Although I read some dissenting opinions questioning whether it has adequate power.- Bikeboy88
