ALPS Potentiometer for Musical Fidelity V-CAN
I've got it installed on the board now. Flawless! Now, any idea where I can find a nice milled aluminum or stainless steel knob? How do I search for one that fits this type of shaft?- bigevilalien

ALPS Potentiometer for Musical Fidelity V-CAN
Thanks! I don't think I want the switch, since the stock pot doesn't have one and there is no power switch.- bigevilalien

ALPS Potentiometer for Musical Fidelity V-CAN
Wow, that is a lot of great information! Thank you! It appears, however, that Tangent is no longer in business and the only RK097 from AMB has an SPST switch on it, which I'm not so sure I want... It also appears that there are several different part numbers in the RK097 series. Could...- bigevilalien

ALPS Potentiometer for Musical Fidelity V-CAN
Can anybody tell me which ALPS part I need to use to upgrade the volume pot on my Musical Fidelity V-CAN? It's mentioned on this page: http://wwww.rockgrotto.proboards.com/thread/5227 But I'm relatively inexperienced at this and I can't figure out which values or part number is the...- bigevilalien

Did anyone ever manage to find one of these to buy in the United States? I'm looking everywhere but I only see them in the UK... -
Case for Denon D2000's?
Has anyone had any experience with one of these? https://www.audiolinks.com/tek9/tek9...ific=joopcndqg It looks promising and certainly cost effective but I can't tell what the dimensions are. Would it be big enough to fit my D2000's? -
Case for Denon D2000's?
I posted this in the headphones forum too, but I thought maybe this was the place to get the answers. I just got a set of D2000's and they didn't come with any sort of carrying/storage case (lame!). I am just wondering what my options are for something to store them in when I'm not...- bigevilalien

Case for Denon D2000's?
I just got a set of D2000's and they didn't come with any sort of carrying/storage case (lame!). I am just wondering what my options are for something to store them in when I'm not using so I don't bang them up/put pressure on the wrong parts/tangle the cable/etc and to protect them when I'm...- bigevilalien

Klipsch Promedia 2.1's as a headamp?
I've successfully gotten stereo sound out of it. The software included allows you to specify your speaker setup (2.1, 4.1, 5.1). It originally retailed for $100 but is an end-of-life item. Isn't this acceptable? With an amp could I expect decent sq?- bigevilalien

Klipsch Promedia 2.1's as a headamp?
I currently run my speakers through a firewire Griffin Firewave. Would this be considered an adequate DAC? I mean, it avoids using my powerbook's sound card at all. If I hooked up a little amp to that would I be in business?- bigevilalien
