Thanks guys. Just wondering how much that translates into real-world performance.  I'm assuming then that the dacport will power the k701 or hd650 to decent volumes (since deadkenny mentioned it's doing so for the he-500), but would it be lacking in extension and quickness?

Could anyone comment on how much drive/power the dacport has compared to some moderately priced desktop amps, such as the Schiit Asgard or the Gilmore Lite.  I'm wondering how much I'd be losing if using this with something like the K701 or HD650.

Anyone have any idea what the ETA is on this or whey it's been so delayed.  This thread was started half a year ago... :-/

Yeah, not as focused on an amp as I am on the usb dac. It just seemed that a lot of the usb units also included headphone amps built in and I want to make sure it plays nice with the triple fi.
