Pros/Cons: Speaker amp or Active Preamp?
I came with the conclusion that a simple current buffer (JISBOS for my project) would be THE best way to make a simple cost-effective amp. I'm currently building a balanced JISBOS buffer/amp. One of the major reason for this build is : - only 1 simple buffer stage = only 1 source of...- Atchoum

High quality/Low cost balanced amp recommendations?
@ akione (or anyone that could help) : I have a question about your balanced JISBOS, if you do connect the PSU's ground to the output grounds, where does the signal's output ground go (pin 1 of the XLR output) ?- Atchoum

High quality/Low cost balanced amp recommendations?
If you want to go balanced "cheap" I suggest you simply build a balanced buffer/driver (jsibos or as akione did using the IVY) since you will have a powerful source. Balanced buffer do have a gain of 2 that will be more than enough for headphones And you may still use that buffer as is or as...- Atchoum

Flash based dap for ER4S (unamplified)
To turn 4S into 4P the only way is to replace the whole cable which could be a solution for kmcdonou (you could then use the PtoS little adapter with your Move).- Atchoum

What amp are you HD650 guys using?
Here is a HD650 with Corda Opera. I've tried the following : - Project HeadBox (bad) - Heed CanAmp (fine but a bit too warm for the already warm HD650) - Corda Opera : GOOD ! I switch from the z to the Z output depending on the mood. z = analytic, in your head session, Z = laid back...- Atchoum
