96/24 Tracks of music I actually listen to?

Quote: Yes, not all, but many (a good amount of DDC and the like as well). But as far as supporting the artist goes I can't help you, although one day, when I'm not a poor college student, I'd like to stick with listening, and buying, sacd's and vinyls. Until then, sorry! Good luck man.

    Potentially dumb question...

I was just wondering what the best choice would be for me atm...   I'm considering either buying a higher end power cable for my woo audio 6 (nothing crazy, ~$50-100), saving up for a cleaner power supply like: http://www.psaudio.com/ps/products/detail/AV-Power-Center-3000?cat=power , or...

I use what.cd and waffles.fm mainly (torrenting sites)

I've gotten a mac, and need help regarding my dac

Quote: Lol   I took a screenshot just to clarify:       So basically right now everything's good? :) I'm testing on cheap cans cause the grados are getting recabled atm, I'm gonna go crazy

I've gotten a mac, and need help regarding my dac

Thanks for the help guys, one last question...   I set my v-dac switch to optical/coaxial after connecting it via fiber optic spdif to my comp, and audio midi didn't recognize it like it did if it was hooked up with a usb.  What am I doing wrong?? Thanks...

Ok thanks so much!   Not to sound dumb, but does that plus into the spdif input for the dac and the headphone jack?

I've gotten a mac, and need help regarding my dac

I'll start off my explaining my setup (I'm a poor college student, but it's slowly improving and is definitely respectable for a teen):   Songbird (100% flac, mostly 24 bit)> Macbook Pro> MF V-Dac (via usb) > Woo Audio 6 > Grado SR325is   I may be mistaken, but I believed when this was...

    My setup is complete!

My LD 1+ and VDAC are finally here! I already notice a difference. The dac really cleans things up and adds soo much detail and a tighter bass, while the amp seems to completely get rid of the harshness of my phones (grado 325is). Just thought I'd tell ya, I'm so happy Will this sound better...

How Much Of A Difference Will An Amp and DAC Make?

I have Grado 325is phones fully broken in that I got for christmas, and I've been using them unamped until now. I finally ordered a little dot 1+ and a mf v-dac, and was just wondering how much of an improvement should I expect?

    Little Dot Mk2 vs 3

I'm getting the I+ for my 325's, it's supposedly great with low impedance cans.

Is the zero dac usb good?

I heard that it suffers some major reliability issues, which is why I'm going for the v-dac now

The Official Grado 325i Owners Club.

Proud new member reporting in I'm gonna be ordering a v-dac and LD 1+ in a few days, I' psyched! Oh, and I did the "basshead" tape mod, and it's amazing.

    I'm 99% Sure I'm getting: V-Dac + Little Dot I+

Thanks for the replies. I can't wait to hear this!

For Low Impedance (eg. grado 325is), Which Would Be The Better Option: Little Dot 1+ or Little Dot MKII

I understand that the mkII has adjustable impedance setting, so would this make the mk's equal/better than the 1+s for driving grados? This is my final decision, I'll be placing the order soon.
