If you like the sound of EQ then stick with it I guess. But you must understand that from a technical standpoint you are degrading sound quality.

The problem is though when you EQ your signal is no longer bit perfect, it has gone through a digital process. It’s like DSP room correction for a speaker setup, if that was the answer no one would bother with room treatment and correct positioning of the speakers.
