What is the best music player (software)?
Cost vs value is subjective. For me, cost of jriver delivers way more value vs free options for what I ext to do with my system. And trust me, not all players use your GPU the same. Full disclosure, I work at AMD and can tell you not all players are equal in terms of performance, power...- aprairie

AudioQuest Dragonfly Review : Affordable, Outstanding, Tiny DAC / Amp
Have not tried on an S4 (don't have one) but on my S3 it was a no go....at least directly connected to the phone. Might be able to make it work with a powered hub, but that defeated the purpose of being mobile for me so I haven't bothered to try it. Drew- aprairie

For $99, the...- aprairie

Airport Express?
I do this into a gen 2 Apple TV. Not in front of it right now, but fairly certain ALL music on ATV is resampled to 48 khz (up or downsampling). For AE, i believe the default is 44.1 and that there is no way around this. You need to get out of the Apple ecosystem to have a media receiver that...- aprairie

AudioQuest Dragonfly Review : Affordable, Outstanding, Tiny DAC / Amp
Hopefully you pulled the trigger....agree with others on the thread that for ~$80 you can't go wrong. Spend the extra cash on your PC audio s/w and wait for the upgrade bug to bite. I love my Dragonfly and use with with Grado's when at office and Ety 4Ps when travelling. Mirror my music...- aprairie
