Magni 3 Impressions
Today, trying to eliminate some cable mess on my desktop, I connected my little speaker monitor to the magni pre-out instead of using the monitor internal DAC... The speaker are B&W MM1, 10y old, out of production... Not the best monitor out there, but.... Youthful mistake....anyway... WOW! the...- AlfredoDG

The Sony 40th Anniversary Walkman Thread
I don't know if it's manageable on android side, but with some DAC models you can choose what to do with charging. For example, with ifi nano bl, if you turn on the DAC before connecting to the player, it works only on internal battery and there's no charge over USB. Fiio q5, instead, has two...- AlfredoDG

Small Budget DAP/Transport with USB output?
I'm looking for the exact same device for my IFI nano bl. Hiby r3, m0 and AP80 are a good choice, but take a look at the Tempotec v1: only a digital transport (USB, coax and BT), 2 sd cards and little form factor (not as little as m0)- AlfredoDG

New Hidizs AP200 double DAC Android-based smart music player
I agree with you from 2 to 5.... but I love so much its sound signature that I can pass over that little problem. Tidal and Spotify are the most annoying things, but solved with IPhone linked to an Ifi nano BL- AlfredoDG

Audeze SINE Series
I put some creative aurvana (CAL) pads on, some weeks ago, after using msr7 pads for around a year.. to my ears, CAL pads are very similar to stock pads soundwise, but way more comfortable. Msr7 result in a more "open" sound, with less bass and more detail in the medium. I cannot say that I...- AlfredoDG

Ifi Nano BL initial impressions
Ok...so I can look for a custom 3.5 trrs-> 4.4mm balanced adapter and use 4.4mm standard cables. And what about an adaptor like this for the 2.5mm that I already have...- AlfredoDG

Ifi Nano BL initial impressions
Hi! I've bought an used (like new!) Nano BL last week.. Paired with iPhone 5-Tidal and with a Schiit Magni 3 desktop amp.. Wow! It instantly replaced the schiit Modi2. Just a question, now, about the 3.5 balanced port.. it's hard to find cables o adaptors. Do you have any suggestion?- AlfredoDG

Speaking about sound quality, this is my favourite DAP, but honestly, I can't suggest it for TIDAL or other online use..- AlfredoDG
