Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)

Well, at first it was just the cable, but then I managed to screw it up even more by accidentally melting the part of the headband which attaches the entire earcup to the headband with my solder iron, so I just thought "**** it" and threw everything but the drivers away.

Pictures of Your *Budget-Fi* Portable Rig (< $200)

This is my current rig. A Sansa Clip+ and a Philips SHL3200. I used to use an AKG K518 DJ, but accidentally stepped on the cable and couldn't repair it, unfortunately, loved them. In case you're wondering, yes, these headphones sound as bad as they look. But at least they're comfy.

Review by 'Akiho' on item 'Sony MDR-EX50LP'

I bought these because the sound of the wind I could hear during cycling while wearing headphones was annoying me and I figured I might as well give IEMs a try instead of buying another pair of headphones, however I did not want to spend a lot of money on something I might not find comfortable...

are expensive headphones really worth it?

Quote: Actually, some people there can give you really good advice, for example, the quote "The more money you put into it =/= the better it is." is partially true. While it is true that the price is higher for better headphones, it doesn't mean that Beats for example would sound better...

Maximizing audio quality on a low budget.

Quote: It didn't work unfortunately, I did try a different mouse and it doesn't have the issue. I tried using the headphones and and G400 on a different computer as well and the problem isn't there either, so I think it's just the combination of the mouse and motherboard.   Quote...

    Question on headset/headphone/audio adapter/etc.

If you really don't want a separate mic on your desk, you could get a mic like the Zalman ZM-Mic1, some velcro dots (to attach the mic to the headphone) and a headphone that fits your budget.

Maximizing audio quality on a low budget.

Thanks for replying.   The main reason why I want to upgrade my current stuff is that I don't consider my current setup to be suitable for classical music and watching anime. Of course I could use an equalizer, but it's really annoying to change the equalizer every time I switch to a...

Maximizing audio quality on a low budget.

First of all: I have no idea whether I've placed it in the right forum, I'm sorry if I've placed it in the wrong forum.   Like the title suggests, I'm trying to maximize my audio quality on a low budget, which is €150,-. But I have no idea what would give me the most bang for the buck...

Poll: Can you hear sound over 20kHz?

Quote: It's not impossible, I managed to hear up to 22000Hz with my Superlux HD 681 and Realtek ALC892 when I generated sine waves (amplitude set to 1) in Audacity, it did become hard after 20893Hz, though. Since I had to concentrate on what I was listening to.
