Fiio E7 + E9 not working
"jacks are on the fritz" meaning they will cut out if the 3.5mm plug is side loaded or put in a certain position. Otherwise the amp works perfectly fine. Sounds like a have a defective unit.- Ace o' Spades

Fiio E7 + E9 not working
Quote: Can you explain how this should be done? Do you have to plug in the E7 while it's already on, or off, or what?- Ace o' Spades

Fiio E7 + E9 not working
Hey all, I just got a Fiio E9 to pair with the E7 I have had for about a year now. The E7 headphone jacks have been on the fritz and it never leaves the house so I figure the E9 would be a good addition. Unfortunately when the E7 is plugged into the E9 the combo is not recognized by...- Ace o' Spades

Songs with good bass ?
I know you said no electronic music, but some dubstep producers (especially the guys who've been around for a while) make some seriously awesome electronic dub tracks. If you are looking for ear-tickling sub bass, look no further. Skream - All Hail Skream - Auto-Dub ...- Ace o' Spades

FiiO E7 DAC/Amp w/ HFI-780?
I'm very certain that you will hear a big difference in comparison to your laptop's sound card. Especially if you are already maxing out the volume. Either you like your music extremely loud or the headphones aren't even close to being properly driven- Ace o' Spades

PA2V2 vs FiiO e7
I'd say only get the e7 if you can make good use of the DAC feature. It's a fantastic little amp/DAC combo for the money but if you aren't going to be plugging it into a computer regularly there's no point in paying extra for that feature.- Ace o' Spades

Can someone recommend me a good/cheap DAC?
Sorry for the bump but I have an update for this thread. I ended up springing for the Fiio e7 and got it yesterday. So far very impressed, the difference is like night and day compared to my sound card. I even thought the iPod's headphone out was pretty decent until I plugged in the e7, it just...- Ace o' Spades

Some advice on high end IEM selection please!
Lucky for you there are tons of great choices in the IEM department. But as said by pretty much everyone else in this topic (and this reflects my opinion as well), its 90% personal preference. If you are concerned about Shure's having a muffled sound maybe you should check out the Ultimate...- Ace o' Spades

Can someone recommend me a good/cheap DAC?
Well for a similar price I'm between the Grub and Behringer. Leaning towards the Grub though so I can get some SMD soldering under my belt and make it so I have a DAC with a switch between the PIMETA and speakers all in one unit. It might end up being a bit more expensive but I think I can live...- Ace o' Spades

Can someone recommend me a good/cheap DAC?
Sorry for double posting all up in this topic, but how will this do: Optical out -> Something like this -> PIMETA -> Cans Then my regular line-out can go to my crap speakers.- Ace o' Spades

Hmm, I didn't consider trying optical DAC. My comp has both a COAX and Optical output. I'll have to check that out.- Ace o' Spades
