Hello there,
Peter Paya of Casques&Headphones informed that Viva is setting up a Numerico without CD reader.
I should prefer it.

Is there any info out there on the DAC implementation in the Numerico?

AFAIK, it has PCM1792 as a DAC chip and XMOS based USB input.

Thanks

Hi,

Actually I preferred to the Numerico an all R2R TotalDAC Integral connected to the Egoista which includes a Cubox server (LMS and Roon compatible allowing Qobuz and Tidal streaming).

Hello,

A new Egoista 845 is ready called I think mk2...
Description of the updates from Amedeo:

....About the Egoista 845, the machine is the same in many ways, but with some improvements. First of all, after some number of units produced, we refined the construction, and overall it is better done. Also, we worked on various voltages and current, and distribution of it, and we could reduce further the noise, and improve the sound as well. It is hard for me to describe, just, the machine is more "straight", with better dynamics in low region, and better timbre rendering. Not night and day, but substantial improvement. We could also get rid of the noise compensation pots, finally (they never meant to be stable, but we could remove them only now...).
