If this is going to be a Bluetooth connected version of the HD800 doesn't mean that you would lose audio fidelity when playing as even with aptX you cannot get the same quality as good old cabled connections...

Not me. I feel like the mids of hd800 SDR is a lot a lot a lot better than hd650. I just want hd800 SDR with fostex bass. Thats my dream

If they go right from the HD569/598cs to the HD800, I'd be surprised if they didnt touch the 600 series.

You got a point there. But, if sennheiser decides to enter the flagship closed back market, they might do a closed back version of hd800 instead of the 600 series.

The HD800 had a revision lately in the form of the S. The 6XX series hasn't been touched in a very long time. Might make sense to refresh things a little.

598CS is based on the HD569.
6xx is a better headphone objectively and subjectively.
