New site will take some getting used to but at least there is less white background on the site which killed my eyes at night.

lol Head-Fi (and partially Youtube) was the reason why I toned down my screen brightness.

In a separate note, some extra feedback after using it a little more.

Could we have a restoration to the old style in which clicking a thread would instantly go to the last comment we read? Seems counter productive for me to have to click an extra button just to reach that.

Also, the tracker for last comment seems to be not working as well. I'm sure I read the ones it directed to.

Reviews should be individually paged, as in each can be read on individual pages. The long scroll doesn't really work well since it makes reviews TLDR literally. Or maybe make it like a spoiler tab.

And a way to scroll to a specific page would be nice.

Guys, exactly the same thing happened when Head-Fi switched to the Huddler platform 7 years ago. Everyone thought the sky had fallen because a bunch of functionality was missing or had changed. Over time, that was fixed and improved.

I don't get it. Are you saying having previously blown a new site launch with disastrous results makes it OK to do it again? Following your analogy, if a doctor amputates the wrong leg, the defense would be: "don't worry, we do it all the time. Besides, you'll get used to walking without your legs."

Surely, your intentions are good, execution, not so much.

Bloody mess, period. No warning to the user base and a complete dysfunctional site replaces something that was up and running.

As an IT professional who has done this type of thing before I can honestly say I have never in my entire career seen a business of this size act so irresponsibly. If this were a corporate migration the team would be sacked and consultants brought in to sort it out before you can do more damage by bringing an incomplete site up and attempting to fix it while users are logging in and out and the data is changing.

Perhaps you should have spent more time understanding the infrastructure and a little less time cramming the ad's everywhere you possibly could.

Shame on you Head Fi.
