If you could only have one pair of Beyerdynamics what would they be? I have only had experience with the t5p and the t1, but looking at the dt1770 and even the dt 770 to add to my small but growing stable of full sized cans. If I got the dt1770 would there be a pint at having the dt770? Is there even a reason to look at the t5p or the t1 anymore as I had them at one time and seems like the 1770 are mostly there from reviews I have seen?

Probably be the DT1990 Pro for me, or T1 2nd generation. The DT1990 is more accurate and airy, the T1 2nd generation is smoother overall.

For me either the Amiron Home(probably my top pick), DT 1990, or T1.2(well driven) in terms of modern Beyers. Including vintage Beyers, I'll take my modded DT 480 over anything Beyer currently makes.

If I could only keep one of my Beyers it would be the Amiron Home. I also heve the DT880 premium 250 ohm and the DT150. Now that I have the Amiron it would not be too difficult to let the DT880 go More difficult to let the DT150 go. I have briefly heard the DT990, DT770 and the t51p have not been interested in owning them. Would love to hear a DT250 but I am not buying any more headphones. Too busy now enjoying what I have.

Seems many like the Amiron Homes. Honestly they are very special to me, same with the DT 1990. I only loved the T1 on certain systems, not as easy to make sound pleasant as the warm Amiron or the neutral DT 1990. I am probably going to keep both the Amiron Home and DT 1990. Amiron more for relaxing and the DT 1990 a bit more for hyping you up, what the DT 1990(with balanced pads) does for electronic music(which makes a large chunk of my listening) is just to die for. I also really like the DT 1770, but I don't really need a closed-back and I like the DT 1990 more as it carries a similar sound as the DT 1770 but open back and more neutral.

The DT 150 is a really good headphone, probably my favorite mid-tier Beyer. Haven't listened to the DT 250 much though. This is what I love about Beyer they have so many good headphones, not just new and current but also vintage. AKG and Sennheiser also have some very good vintage headphones.

I've had the t1 (v1), t5p, and hands down its the amiron. Nothing much to add beyond what others have said. Just solid and comfortable, pairs well with a variety of gear.

My T90, I guess.

Life's no fun without diversity, though, thus I own a horde of Beyers. Also, T90's not suitable for portable use for me.

I liked the T1.2, but there was some missing in the treble. The DT1990 is a bit more grainy, but I prefer it to the T1. I had a similar experience with the T5p.2. If I would go to a desert island now, I'd take the DT1990s. I would like to hear the Amirons though.

You do need to hear them. The Amiron would suit a desert island...

Now you have me wondering what I would actually take to that desert island if I could pick from among all my headphones not just the Beyers...
