Hi all, I'm creating balanced headphone cables for my newly acquired 2x NuForce HA200 amps. I've searched around and found this diagram:

The thing I don't get is the mirror image output pin assignments. Did they just flip it so the diagram is easier to read or do some amps with dual 3pin XLR outputs have flipped assignments?

The XLR connectors in the drawing don't have pin numbers. But the '+' amp output does make to the '+' terminal of the headphone.
Shield is always pin#1 and in one connector the '+' is the next pin and in the other connector the '-' is the next pin.
So I would ignore the sequence.
Headphone cables don't need a shield.

Thanks Speedskater! It's annoying because NuForce use that exact diagram in their docs.

The signal is between pins 2 & 3. Pin 1 is not part of the signal, don't connect it to output pins 2 or 3.
