General Information

The M1 HPA pure Class A headphone amp's technical performance is outstanding. Distortion is incredibly low (less than .0005% across the band) frequency response is ruler flat. Noise ratio is outstanding. In every technical parameter the M1 pure Class A headphone amp is outstanding.

The HPA has very low output impedance (below 1 ohm). Headphone amps' output impedance is a usually ignored but very important measurement. The HPA's extraordinary low output impedance means that it can drive any headphone with complete linearity and low distortion. The vast majority of competitive headphone amplifiers cannot do this because they have much higher output impedance.

Pros: Warm sounding, 2-headphones output, that are not impedance limited, good value
Cons: Pretty big, can get somewhat warm, the DAC inside is not the best one I've tried.
This is a warm sounding amp and really smooth with enough power to drive 2 headphones simultaneously. As Lan647 was saying that it could drive 2 high end headphones without a problem, I can drive my beyerdynamic t1 & the sennheiser hd800 with ease at the same time. Pretty neat feature if you wan't to compare 2 headphones.
 
I've compared these with the nuforce icon hdp and it pretty much beats it at every aspect except the nuforce's extra ports and compatibility.
 
Headphones I tried them with:
Sennheiser HD650, HD8000, Beyerdynamic T1
 
The hd800 really shined with this AMP, it delivered really deep bass and it really brings out the amazing soundstage the HD800 is capable of.
 
The inside DAC is nothing special, it produces good sound but I highly recommend buying a separate DAC for this amp.

But in the end its good value for the money you pay for it.

Pros: Solid build. Smooth sound. Lots of power. Two headphones outs. DAC section included.
Cons: A tad large. Some may find it lacks bite.
This is a fairly large, heavy headphone amp that has no problem in driving two LCD-2s at the same time. The volume knob is smooth and satisfying to use, but I've found the amp suffers from hissing noise when touching the knob if not connected to a grounded outlet. So keep that in mind. 
 
It's rock solid and it looks nice on my desk but the design is nothing ground-breaking.
 
Compared to amps like the Lehmann BCL or Burson HA-160, this one has a warmer, smoother tone. Things sound big and airy and there's an analogue feel when listening to it. It pairs well with all headphones I've tried it with. 
 
That said, this is a very polite sounding amp, some may wish for more punch and energy in the sound. If so, the Burson would probably be a better choice. 
 
 
But for me, it checks all the boxes and is well worth it's price.
