Speakers for dorm room
I'm thinking about picking up a set of speakers for my dorm room (Budget <$100). At this point I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280s that I use while I'm in the room, but with my glasses and the clamping force that the phones exert, they get to be uncomfortable after some time. I also have Sleek...- kirtar

Yet another "what should I get" thread
As noted in my profile, my current portable is a Rio ce2100. Not only is it ridiculously scratched up, but the battery self discharges at an insane rate (I've had it for about 5 or six years now I think). I'm looking at getting a new player before I have a bunch of trips in a row. Right now I'm...- kirtar

Laptop buzz (with cooling pad)
Ok, so when I'm at home I use my laptop on a cooling pad (Dell Precision m4400 on a Coolermaster Notepal Infinite if it matters). At this point I'm using the built in headphone jack. However, there is a buzz that is always present and I know it to be related to the cooler. I found this out by...- kirtar

Bass+ port doesn't fit flush
I don't know if this is by design or not, but I can't get my bass+ ports to fit flush with the earphone like the neutral port (there's about a millimeter between the earphone and the flat wall of the port). I am able to get the neutral and bass- ports on fine, but for some reason, the + ports...- kirtar

Rio ce2100 SQ
K, what I currently use is a Rio ce2100 (running developer's cut if that makes a difference). Is that ok on sq? I know I get a bit of hiss off of it sometimes (and obviously it's a *couple* years old). Apart from that I have a sanza express that I use for running.- kirtar

Hot TLE2426 in CMoy Power Section
Top View (really just the components): Here Diagram (from top view. Shows jumpers, etc): Here Note: Red X goes to red X, Blue dot to Blue dot, etc. Didn't want to try to connect those dots on the picture. Okay, so the right side is the V- side and the left side is the V+ side. I hooked up a...- kirtar

Case for SA6
Ok, so I'm set on getting the SA6, but I haven't exactly seen the greatest comments about the case. I'm getting them off of SoundEarphones, and they sell the Shure oval case, the UE metallic, and UE Leather cases (I'd like to take advantage of free shipping). Of these, which would work better...- kirtar

Batteries in a CMoy amp?
I've been looking around for stuff to make a (modified tangent) CMoy amp, and I pretty much have my shopping list made, coming out to ~$35/amp right now, but I can't really decide on what batteries to use. The popular choice is to use 9v batteries, sometimes in series. Thing is, I tend to like...- kirtar

SA6 or RE2+C751?
My brother is thinking about getting a set of IEMs, but is kind of torn between the c751 (98+SH) and the RE2 (80+SH) and is now thinking about getting both of them (And I'm thinking of the SA6 (189 shipped) for myself). So the 2 part question goes: 1. RE2 or C751 (for classical music, CCM...- kirtar
