OK I am getting quite exasperated by the upgrading process to v2.0 Getting 1.0.41 was easy enough. Then I launch GoFigure and Press Update... and it quits (as indicated in the FAQ from Chord) But the P status colors never really change on my Poly. They are ALWAYS white to indicate charging...

Roon over USB will work with Pro iDSD to the full capabilities including MQA and DSD. But if you have Audirvana, try playing the same TIDAL MQA over Ethernet/UPNP and tell me what you think and which you prefer...

I listen to a lot of DSD too so chromecast audio would limited what I want to play. I’ve been testing Chromecast on a Naim and even on 16/44, it feels that the native app sounds better. I wonder if the Chromecast layer is responsible for the downgrade.

I really like the DirectStream Jr which is DLNA and Roon ready and comes with the Bridge 2 preinstalled. My Chord Poly is finally also working the way it should. I think Chord/PS Audio did it right - rather than work on a native streaming app, which takes a couple of generations to fine tune...

Raise a ticket with iFi Ask for beta 2.0 firmware which enables MQA. It is not enabled in the official firmware.

Pro iDSD started rebooting itself every few minutes. Disconnected it and this morning brought it to the office and it seems stable now. Works on Ethernet but for the life of me, I can't find any instructions to connect to a second WiFi SSID which I would need for the office. I want to test that...

That's what I have been saying for ages :) Ethernet as a music transport just sounds better than USB. It's one of the reasons that stopped me going for a DAVE a few years ago. And that's why I have been asking for Roon support on the Pro iDSD. FWIW the beta v2.0 firmware has broken DSD...

Update - USB from MBP Retina 2016 touchbar to iFi Pro iDSD, no DSD reflected on Audirvana 3.1 I am beginning to hate Audirvana. Every time there is an issue, they blame the hardware. blah blah blah non standard blah blah blah But companies like JRiver still work with the same components...

V2.0 beta Did you by any chance connect it via USB before? I found that I managed to fix this on Audirvana by direct connecting to USB first. This allowed Audirvana to identify its DSD functions then when I connected via UPNP it now saw it as a DSD device. But I’m using on a new MBP retina...

But Chromecast Audio doesn't support DSD audio. Not 192kHz PCM

Et voila MQA from Audirvana TIDAL to UPNP iFi Pro iDSD via network. You have to manually enable MQA decoding on the Audio System

MQA on the Oppo 205 is only via USB - not via SPDIF or network. MQA on the PS Audio DirectStream is only via Bridge. I will need to boot my MBP into Bootcamp and Windows :) The Pro iDSD is just next to my bed on a side table so it isnt next to a computer.

What about MQA through the Ethernet connection? I have computers running JRiver and Roon in another room - and the Pro iDSD is in my bedroom for my headphones for bedtime listening.

Question - is MQA only on USB? Or can I get TIDAL streaming from Audirvana Plus
