What is a decent external/USB sound card for a laptop?
If you are not into eax or similar mambo jambo you can get emu0202 usb which powers through usb only. It worked for me pretty good when i was using laptop. Edit: Oh sorry i didnt read your post entirely and equalizer may not be an option for emu0202 but google it anyway cause i never...- ^adm^

An unexpected detour: Sony MDR 7506 over the DT880!!
I also preferred ms1's over dt880, not only for sq alone (i dont compare sq of one to another please note this before flaming if you plan to ) but portability has meanings extending listening while walking that is what i learned from that experience. Are fast headphones really that fast?
I am not a native talker so i have hard time explaining this but i dont think speed has anything with frequency distribution. I always consider headphones slow which couldnt stop little reverbations of a sound after the original source done with that. In conclusion of that i consider...- ^adm^
