Burn in confirmed. Much better now. That is all. And for those who say the bass on the hd280s in weak, your ears are probably damaged from listening to music too loud/too much bass , so you buy the megabass phones to compensate. The bass on the hd280s is really very good.- SageOHaze

out of box thoughts on hd280s
They sound pretty good actually. The bass seems alright, a little weak and lost, with a little eq, its perfectly fine for my tastes and i assume will only get better with time. Classical music seems to be alright too, jazz was fine. Nothing truley outstanding about them, but it's what i was...- SageOHaze

Burning in?
So, i'll receive my hd 280s in a few days, but before that i have some questions about burning in. First off, does the first 50 hours of "burning in" period have a permanent effect on them? Like, if i don't do it properly will i regret it? Next up, how to burn (method etc)? I assume you...- SageOHaze

well i'm going to try out the h280s, but should i get an amp? If so, what? I cannot afford even the cheapest "airhead" amp. I'm at a loss. and btw, my co-worker has some cheapo "GE sound blasters" or something, with "increased bass" Is the little feature a mini amp, or something? Or is it...- SageOHaze
