Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

How would I even know where to look? It'd just be a random "try everything until you found something you like"-buy spree, which I can't afford. I wish there was a high end headphone/music store somewhere nearby, but I doubt there'd be more than one or two in the whole country. Everything is...

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

I like them so far, but it's not like I'm noticing a huge difference (from the top of my head) between this and the HD 25-II I own, but I won't judge them yet as I read the break in is far from subtle for these. Maybe higher-end headphones are just not for me. I've never listened to a pair...

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

Well in The Netherlands we have a 1-day package delivery, so even if he'd dropped it off without telling me I would've known by now.

Yeah, could've know the deal was too good to be true... I was blinded by the possibilty of getting a higher-end Grado. Sucks...

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

Well it was through a ebay-like (actually owned by eBay I believe) website where people can offer their second-hand items.   I payed through a bank transfer, so I can't refund the money. I can only hope I still receive my headphones but I doubt it since he stopped responding since I...

Best Headphones for gaming and music

In terms of the BEST headsets, I'd certainly recommend any of the Audio-Technica or Beyerdynamic headsets, but they come at a price of course. :)   I think getting the Sennheiser HD598 with a modmic would be great if you could afford it.

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

I thought I'd let you know I eventually bought a Grado SR225i. I got a great deal on it. Someone impulse-bought it and was selling it new and I only paid €150 for it. I bet I could even sell it for profit if I'd want to, but I'm not gonna :P

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

Well I live in The Netherlands and I can't find a pair under €180, which is around $240. So if I were to get those I'd have to wait for a deal or go for something else. :/

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

Well yeah I know I shouldn't base it on one person's opinion that's why I asked it here :)   I might go for the Soundmagic HP150 if I can get a good deal somewhere, although I'm still not sure. I might go and try a few pairs at a decent store somewhere.

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

A quote from the review:   "Amping   These really do benefit from amping, as i find them to sound flat and boring just driven from my iPod, adding an amp brings out the bass, and widens the soundstage and just brings out the best in them. Also they are not very sensitive so you will have to...

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

Well I only have one decent pair of headphones: the Sennheiser HD 25-II. I take these to classes for music, mainly because the sound isolation is great. I can't really describe what I don't or do like about the sound other than it sounds great, much better than anything I've ever tried.   But...

Headphone recommendations for rock/metal $200 budget

Hi!   I'm looking for a new pair of headphones. I mainly listen to (classic) rock and metal, but I like pretty much anything really. I do not own an amp.   My budget is around $200.    I've been looking at the Sennheiser HD 598, but after seeing someone claiming they weren't good for rock...
