[little side project ] Samson rh "super" 100
I picked up this samson rh 100 at my colleges surplus store a few weeks ago for $5. They had a short in them but that was easily fixed. They sounded pretty good for $5 clear audio kinda dry but they are sold as cheap reference phones I figured I could make them crystal clear and warm them up...- Nickelplant

Not bad, they don't beat my mod-ed fostex's though . Disclaimer I have had them for less then 24 hours but initial impression is uncomfortable as hell, bad seal, but decent crisp mid . They also have a different tone then I'm used to I need some more time with em I think(Flat isn't a bad...- Nickelplant

Found these Realistic Nova 16 buried at a thrift shop today and snagged em for $5( I couldn't pass up those sweet volume sliders!). I don't know how vintage they are though, never heard of the brand. Google searches haven't yielded much info.Any one here know what I bought ? Pics below...- Nickelplant

I went around the local thrift shops today and I found these behind some dusty books. I had never heard of the brand but they had a cool shape to them and the side volume sliders were too awesome so I snatched them up for $5! They are not very comfortable but they work fine and sound ok. ...- Nickelplant

I rotated it and nothing changed. I re soldered the jack and still nothing. Then I took out the left cup driver and soldered in a extra driver I had in my junk box that I knew worked.I thought if the jack or wiring was the issue the driver still wouldn't work but curiously it worked fine so I...- Nickelplant
