Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
Hi folks, Just received a pair of JVC Spiral Dots++ from Amazon JP and have gone on a tip rolling quest between these and the standard Final E Tips. Initial impressions aren't great if I'm honest, for my tastes anyway. The midrange seems to be pushed forward with the bass taking a hit in its...- smithamb

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
It just seems strange to me that it has only happened with one earpiece and not the other, when I purposefully move the earpiece with my fingers slightly in both ears, one seems to be a lot more sensitive to flex than the other. Think I'll get them replaced as I've only had them a couple of days!- smithamb

Not sure about other brands but it is known with LX for sure. Not a concern re longevity of the drivers but as you say not great at all when listening to music and smiling which these make me do more often than not!- smithamb

Yep given the small and large tips a go - small wouldn't seal properly and the large has the same issue as well as being too large for my canal (starts to itch after 5 mins)- smithamb

On a side note, does anyone experience driver flex once the Legend X is seated firmly in their ear? I get that driver flex should occur when taking them in and out of my ears and I'm fine with that but I'm getting flex in the left earpiece even when listening to music with a full seal Eg when...- smithamb

First time posting in this thread and pleased to say I am now the proud owner of a pair of Legend X's. Does anyone know what the best filter mod would be to obtain a v shaped sound signature (even more so than standard)? I have done the Trishd mode (blue filter foam pushed all the way to the bottom) but am still finding myself eq'ing the absolute crap out of them to obtain a sound signature I...- smithamb

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
It just makes life a whole lot easier and when lying down on a gym bench chest first I always found cables to get caught and tightened so they would pull my earphones out. Think I have all the cables and also the BT2 adapter but pretty sure I’ll stick with the true wireless solution for ease.- smithamb

Thanks for your responses guys, looks like I’ll be keeping the 846’s on the true wireless adapter most of the time then even if I am to workout - I assume they are sturdy enough to resist a bit of sweat? It does impact the sound quality quite a bit though compared to wired and I am somewhat...- smithamb

Hi folks, Wow Page 1417 of posts, I sure am late to the party! Anyhow, I received my Shure SE846's the other day and now see what all the fuss is about... They are glorious in every way. Bowers&Wilkins new flagship the P9!
Thanks for the replies. I will try and get the receipt somehow... Can you guys hear a rubbing sound at least when the earcups are moving? It sounds like the rubber in the decoupling mechanism... I fail to believe that my unit is THIS defective?!- smithamb

Yeah I have registered the product however I won't be able to get a replacement without the receipt :disappointed: It's more of a small click than a prolonged creek however it's driving me crazy and I can't seem to find the root of the problem! I do agree though the sound is to die for- smithamb

Bowers&Wilkins new flagship the P9!
Hi guys, Just received a pair of P9's and am blown away with their sound! However, I got them as a gift and hence do not have the original proof of purchase... I am experiencing creaks in the earcups, even with slight head movement, that I did not expect from such a high end piece of...- smithamb

Amp/DAC for Denon AH-MM400? Do I even need one?
As in the title, I have been thinking about buying a portable amp/dac for my Denon AH-MM400 headphones for a while now and wondered if you guys would be able to give me an insight into whether or not this would be worth it? RHA T10 Vs Sennheiser IE80
I am looking to buy a new pair of IEM's.. I do generally tend to like the v shape of earphones however I enjoy large soundstage and lush vocals/acoustic instrumentals. Which would be better for me? Considering I can get the IE80 for £230 and the T10 for £130 Thanks- smithamb

Bear in mind these are quite a shallow fit IEM as the nozzle is quite shallow. I had fit and comfort issues with mine, so much so to the point I decided to sell them..- smithamb
