To be clear I want to use my headphones that have a male usb end, that goes into the computer, and get a female adapter that turns into a stereo either a 3.5mm or 1/4 inch stereo jack. I just did the mod to remove the equalizer.  If you have this amp I recommend it greatly.  I am really enjoying the sound now, it seems the equalizer muted the whole audio spectrum.  As far as a new AC converter, I think I am just going to get a monster noise canceling  power outlet.  I need one...

Thanks for the reply and the schematic now that i have that I can easily upgrade everything i need to.  as far as heat goes I have a plan to mount the board and leave the top off so air should be free flowing around it.
